Optional Account Services
Optional Account Services
These additional services are free but adding them to your account(s) must be requested by the client or suggested by Chad.
Dividend Reinvestment
Many investments pay dividends. With this service, you can automatically have the dividends reinvested in the underlying investment as soon as the account(s) receive the dividend.
ACH (Electronic Money Movement)
In banking, ACH stands for Automated Clearing House, which is a network that coordinates electronic payments and automated money transfers. ACH is a way to move money between financial institutions without using paper checks, wire transfers, credit card networks, or cash. We can set up ACH payments to be automatic such as a deposit to your checking account on the first of the month or an ACH request can be made by you on demand. For example, you may need a specific amount to pay for a purchase. You would simply call the office and make the request. If you make the request by 3 PM CST, the funds will be deposited the next business day. Please know, cash must be in your account to make a transfer request. On the flip side, you may want to make an investment or add to your account(s) with us. You can request a transfer FROM your bank to us in the same manner.
Automatic Investment
You may have a goal or a particular investment that you want to add to periodically. Using automatic investment allows us to set up a particular dollar amount to be invested on a particular day, month, or year. This service is commonly used with IRA’s and college savings plans.
Auto Required Minimum Distribution (RMD)
Once you reach the age of 72, you must distribute money from your Individual Retirement Account (IRA). Setting this up automatically is free and easy. Our custodian, LPL Financial, will automatically calculate the RMD annually and send it out automatically at a time that you request.
Transfer On Death
Transfer on Death provisions allow the owner of a taxable account to list beneficiary(s) whereas at their death, the account will transfer to the listed beneficiary(s) in kind. At that point, the account is owned by the beneficiary. The benefit of this service is the avoidance of the drawn out and costly probate process. Assets are typically transferred within a few business days of the receipt of a death certificate by LPL Financial. Please know that TOD is a contract and supersedes a will.
